Week of Jesus-Charles Wesley

This is our Holy Pascha week for the Eastern Orthodox church. So, in honor of that, these next few days I will be finding quote about Jesus. Let's start today with Charles Wesley:

Gentle Jesus, meek and milk,

Look upon a little child;

Pity my simplicity,

Suffer me to come to thee.

-as quoted by Charles Wesley, English religious leaer and hymnwriter.

Lefty Tuesday-Kurt Cobain

Another great left hander and legend today!

"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." as quoted by Kurt Cobain, musician and lead singer, guitarist, and song writer for Nirvana.

Astronauts say things too!

"I must admit, maybe I am a piece of history after all." as quoted by Alan Shepard, astronaut.

On this day in 1971, Alan Shepard became the first man to hit a gold ball on the moon. I bet it's pretty difficult hitting the greens from there! I don't know exactly when he said this, however I love it. It just shows how humble he thought of himself. I like when someone does something great and still thinks that he is human.
